l\u2019articulation temporo mandibulaire (ATM) et bruxisme<\/strong><\/p><p align=\"left\">La m\u00e2choire est reli\u00e9e aux os du cr\u00e2ne par les articulations temporo-mandibulaires\u00a0 (ATM). Ces articulations permettent les mouvements d\u2019ouverture et de fermeture de la bouche, ainsi que les mouvements de c\u00f4t\u00e9 ou vers l\u2019avant.<\/p><p align=\"left\">Les\u00a0<strong>d\u00e9sordres temporo-mandibulaires (DTM)<\/strong>\u00a0peuvent engendrer divers probl\u00e8mes qui s\u2019accompagnent entre autres des sympt\u00f4mes suivants\u00a0:<\/p><p>1. Hypersensibilit\u00e9 ou de la douleur pendant les mouvements de la m\u00e2choire ou m\u00eame lorsque celle-ci est au repos;<\/p><p>2. Limitations ou difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 ouvrir ou \u00e0 fermer la bouche et bruit articulaire c.-\u00e0-d. des craquements ou grincements;<\/p><p>3. Raideurs aux muscles de la mastication, au visage, au cou ou aux \u00e9paules;<\/p><p>4.\u00a0 Maux de t\u00eate.<\/p><p>Nous avons suivi des formations avanc\u00e9es en occlusion. Nous basons notre diagnostic sur un examen dentaire complet et proposons les traitements appropri\u00e9s pour corriger ou am\u00e9liorer votre \u00e9tat. Si n\u00e9cessaire, nous travaillons avec un radiologue sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 en maxillo-dentaire afin d&rsquo;obtenir une analyse approfondie par tomodensitom\u00e9trie ou r\u00e9sonance magn\u00e9tique.<\/p><p><strong>Traitements<\/strong><\/p><p align=\"left\">Divers traitements peuvent am\u00e9liorer votre \u00e9tat buccodentaire; soit le port d\u2019une\u00a0 plaque occlusale qui diminue souvent l\u2019intensit\u00e9 des raideurs articulaires et musculaires, en plus de limiter l\u2019usure des dents caus\u00e9e par le bruxisme (grincement des dents). L\u2019\u00e9quilibration minutieuse de votre occlusion, ou un traitement orthodontique peuvent aussi am\u00e9liorer le fonctionnement de votre ATM. Pour soulager l\u2019inflammation articulaire on a recours \u00e0 des traitements m\u00e9dicamenteux et d\u2019ost\u00e9opathie ou de physioth\u00e9rapie.<\/p><p align=\"left\">De fa\u00e7on
