votre dentiste proc\u00e8de au d\u00e9pistage de carie et v\u00e9rifie aussi l&rsquo;\u00e9tat de vos obturations. Il v\u00e9rifie l\u2019\u00e9tat g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de vos dents, s\u2019il y a pr\u00e9sence de fracture, d\u2019usure ou de toutes autres anomalies. La radiographie lui permet d\u2019examiner de plus pr\u00e8s les zones probl\u00e9matiques. Il se peut qu\u2019il y ait dans ces cas une ou des dents qui n\u00e9cessitent d\u2019\u00eatre restaur\u00e9e(s). S\u2019il observe que vos obturations sont mobiles ou fractur\u00e9es, votre dentiste pourra vous sugg\u00e9rer de\u00a0 les remplacer.<\/p><p>\u00c0 le Centre dentaire IED, nous\u00a0 utilisons des obturations de couleur naturelle.\u00a0 Des restaurations en r\u00e9sine composite ou des incrustations en c\u00e9ramique de la m\u00eame couleur que vos dents naturelles sont utilis\u00e9es. Le scellant est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement plac\u00e9 sur les molaires et les pr\u00e9molaires pour prot\u00e9ger ces dents de la carie.<br \/><br \/>Gr\u00e2ce aux \u00e9tudes, nous avons pu constater que la plupart des caries se forme sur la surface occlusale, appel\u00e9e aussi la surface de mastication, dans le cas des enfants de moins de 15 ans. La surface occlusale est en effet particuli\u00e8rement fragile car le sillon naturel des molaires repr\u00e9sente une zone id\u00e9ale pour la formation de la plaque dentaire. Malgr\u00e9 un brossage assidu, il est difficile de se d\u00e9barasser de cette plaque une fois qu&rsquo;elle s&rsquo;est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e sur la surface de mastication. Sur le long terme, cette plaque dentaire finit par former des caries profondes.
